I finished reading "Exceptional Learners" today for work. That's been a depressing textbook let me assure you. Then as the final cruelty the second to the last chapter is on gifted learners, after spending hunreds of pages discussing students with cerbal palsey, mental retardation, etc.

But atleast  Douglas Adams is as perfectly entertaining as can reasonably be expected.
