I'm not sure how I feel about the results of the election. The good news is that the American people came out and said were they stand and what they want clearly. The bad news is what it appears they want.
Did anyone else find it creepy that Tom Daschle lost? Because I did.
And though part of me is annoyed that Californians once again choose to have it all and passed Prop 72 despite the current state of our budget, I am mostly deeply troubled that 11 states passed amendments to their state consitutions banning gay marriage. Some of them even banned civil unions.
This is not America.

Does it not strike you almost that gay rights is the civil rights movement of our generation? And yet again, so many people stand in apathy...

Precisely. This IS America, and this will ALWAYS be America, whether any of us like it or not. Luckily, everything is dynamic, particularly our country.
