I feel the need to confess, so here goes,
I think having lots of children is something the masses do (hence they are the masses :P) and not something educated, classy people do.
LOL.
It's true.
Please don't throw rocks at me [or rotten fruit]

I think you're correct in describing the phenomenon, but I'd rather have your take on its cause. ;-)

yes, but I think you may be missing the point; possibly one significant reasons why I don't want to have children, probably the biggest reason why i tend to react with distaste to hearing that so and so is pregnant is because I think it's too plebian of an act.

LOL! Ah... perhaps you should consider that we "cutisify" birth and these things too much. Perhaps what I mean is you resent the stereotypical nature of it all. You should if it bothers you. Engaging in the life process doesn't mean you have to submit to that.
Be Chinese, have one kid! ;)

I promised Diana that I would never ever have only one child; no children or at least two.

Good. I'm glad you're sticking to it. It's such a relief. :) Being an only child stinks.
...what if I had, say, five kids? You certainly couldn't classify me as uneducated. So would you label me unclassy...?
Don't answer that. LOL! My point, I guess, is that you can certainly make sweeping generalizations like that, but they may not apply in specific situations. Isn't there some kind of sociological term for that? ;) :D
