This is slightly after the fact, but . . . .

I LOVE Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. It's the best movie I've seen since Garden State. (Best since, not better. Though, it is better than a lot of movies I had seen before.)
___

Just realized that makes my orange sweater so much cooler than I had originally thought. :P lol

I love the mother-news-delivery-service. It's a beautiful thing, faster than news.google.com, which is pretty impressive.

"but particles swerve and we are not bound by fate"

quoted from The Fire Within The Eye by David Park, paraphrasing Lucretius, a Greek Philosopher of the mid 5th century B.C.E.

Notes from a phone conversation:
Dr. T: "You only have one brother, right?"
Myself: "Yes"
Dr. T: "Older or younger?"
Myself: "Younger"
Dr. T: "Is he coming here?"
Myself: "Don't know yet."
Dr. T: "Well you tell him that we like the gene pool."

"Screw Biblical ethics in the modern world, it's honors ethics in the current world." -- heard from the lips of a honors student

Notes from Class. . .

. . . with Dr. J:

"to live is an act of hermeneutics, of interpretation"

"Not the emptiness of Buddhism, which is the realm of the sacred, but the emptiness of nothing, which is the realm of a shrug."

Damn Trolley

Class required conventions. . .

* Let us just say that public transportation is still in its infancy here. Frequently waiting a half hour for a trolley at each connection, closer to an hour at night, got old rather quickly.
*One of the walls in our hotel room smelled like "damp pet" or "urine" depending on personal interpratation.
* Dr. Wilson managed to finally stop being confused but he was still dumb and inconvient, and now I can add "anti-social" to the list.
*There were a few highlights: my pins that say: "Anatomy: know the inside story" and "Anatomy: a full body of knowledge."
*Our video [Slackman: you must burn it onto a CD for me, please]
*The Italian place.
*I don't know whether to count the $52.50 Indian place as a highlight or an agony.

But I really think "damn trolley" sums it all up sufficiently
