notes from a class that shall remain un-named.

Prof: "hel--Heck! Sex is invented! It's more than just [wild gesturing] biological movements. It depends on what culture you're in."

I have found never never land

So I'm writing this from the top of a cheap hotel mattrise, did I mention that I have a wi-fi card? hehehe

Anyway, it's absolutely beautiful up here. I felt like I was in Montana. :D There were even Cows in grass, how cool is that? See, the "happy cows" line isn't a COMPLETE lie. LOL, oh, well

I'm falling asleep but I would just like to mention that the music at fs was good even if I do generally perfer my bands more on the half starved side. The resemblence to Maroon 5 was shocking. Though, really, really people shouldn't be allowed to sing songs to Jesus in church that would be so easy to strip to, but again, oh, well . . .

"There had to be evil so the universe wouldn't be a monologue."
Since variety was requested here is some variety (though, I will confess it is not about the bf)

More Notes from class with Dr. S:

(I apologize in advance for some of the language. It is not my own)

Dr. S: "So you're saying that consious choice by Adam and Eve caused you and me to live in a shit hole?"

[on the question of whether there was death in the Garden of Eden or not]
Dr. S: "If there weren't bacteria eating up the cut up pea vines after the pea harvest we would be buried in pea vines."

God Bless the Teeled

Tuesday, November 09, 2004

so I don't like Teel anymore
So, I'm sitting in the office realizing that despite the fact that I have to double check my planner every 15 min. to make sure that I haven't forgotten something desperately important and course grade determining I think I have everything under control.

But mostly, I'm really hoping that my cousin eats lunch and is in the cafe at the sametime I am because I miss her. :(

I'm not sure how I feel about the results of the election. The good news is that the American people came out and said were they stand and what they want clearly. The bad news is what it appears they want.

Did anyone else find it creepy that Tom Daschle lost? Because I did.

And though part of me is annoyed that Californians once again choose to have it all and passed Prop 72 despite the current state of our budget, I am mostly deeply troubled that 11 states passed amendments to their state consitutions banning gay marriage. Some of them even banned civil unions.

This is not America.

Election day

Well, I have the hottest fashion accessory proudly displayed on my t-shirt [for those of you not in the "know" that would be my "I voted electronically" sticker]

Thank goodness I don't live in a battle ground state, but I think I would have voted the same way even if I did. I voted for Ralph Nader. He's a write-in candidate in CA. It was form of protest.

At least voting for the propositions was satisfying. Though there were some difficult decisions there.

What I'm really wondering at this point, and I know this seems shallow, is what am I going to talk about for entertainment after this is over?

good luck

may the best man win

and

(and this one is prayerfully genuine)

God bless America

So I feel crazy popular after this weekend. lol. Nothing like taking a virtual vacation in the midst of the quarter's deepest craziness.

I know, I know, they were just after my food. [though the chance for a co-ed sleep over might factor in there also, but it still doesn't explain the 3pm departure time]

I had a talk with Dr. S about my Honors Scholarship project. I think after I illustrated the way my mind tends to work he might have felt sorry for me. I'm not sure.

Oh, and my twelve o'clock meeting [which I actually went to for a change] was fun. Getting to talk politics with a bunch of cool men who find me impressive tends to always be a good thing.

I know, such blantant egoism. It's truly nauseating to me as well.

On a somewhat other-worldly-level, I still haven't decided who I'm voting for tomorrow. Or which tv I'm going to watch the election returns on. LOL!

oh, well . . .

. . . I just can't believe I've been thinking about it for this long. What will I do afterward?
